Natick Center Cultural District Renewal

September 15, 2017

The Town of Natick, MA received the designation of "Cultural District" in 2012, thus the Natick Center Cultural District was born. We were part of the 14 original districts in the Commonwealth. This summer our five year designation was up for renewal. A few months ago we submitted our application for re-designation and we recently received notice from the Mass Cultural Council that Natick received the "Cultural District" designation for another 5 years!

You might be wondering, "What is a Cultural District anyway?" We support the arts, artists, culture and downtown businesses with events like Natick Nights, Multicultural Day, public art with the painted electrical boxes, partner with Natick Recreation and Parks to sponsor Natick Days, Spooktacular and help promote Natick Artists Open Studios. Just to name a few!
"How does being a Cultural District help our town?" - Having a strong arts and cultural presence in town creates an dynamic environment, adds to the livability of a community and it's free, and open to all residents to experience.

We plan to continue on in this mission over the next 5 years and if you'd like to join us we offer a yearly membership of only $25 per person or $50 per family. We appreciate your support as we continue to make arts and culture an ever-increasing part of our town.  Please visit our membership page for more details!
