Nationally certified massage therapist Greg Haggard believes that mind/body balance is the primary element for maintaining optimum health. He strives to encourage that balance through relief from pain and muscle tension, as well as increasing relaxation and emotional well-being.
Greg’s formal training in Ben Benjamin’s technique of massage and the sciences took place at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA. Additionally, he has continued his studies in Neuromuscular and Myofascial techniques, prenatal massage, hot stone therapy and watsu which have been invaluable, particularly when compounded with the experience he has gained from years of working in various spa and therapeutic settings.
Greg works regularly with athletes privately and through his volunteer work at the Pan Mass Challenge cancer fundraiser, The Super Sunday 5K, and the Boston Marathon. He has worked in the water with cerebral palsy patients, and has provided massage at the Yoga Journal Conference in Boston. Clients include individuals recovering from major surgery and long-term illness, as well as those in need of a “tension tune-up.”
