Author Talk: Dick Lehr

The Bacon Free Library is happy to welcome author, journalist, and professor Dick Lehr to talk about his latest book, White Hot HateThis book details the gripping true story of an averted domestic terrorist attack against a Kansas farming town’s immigrant Somali community. Crucial to this story is the FBI informant who exposed the murderous plot.  Dan Day, an average guy who went to the police with his concerns became an FBI informant.  Lehr also narrated the podcast adaptation of this story, ABC News Truth and Lies: The Informant.

Dick Lehr, a professor of journalism at Boston University, is the author of seven award-winning works of nonfiction and fiction. Lehr previously wrote for the Boston Globe, where he was a member of its Spotlight Team, a special projects reporter, and a magazine writer. While at the Globe he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in investigative reporting.
