Sunanda Sahay is a well-known Indian artist specializing in Mithila painting, popularly known as Madhubani painting, a 2500-year-old traditional art form of Bihar, India. She is known for her intricate designs and vibrant colors, characteristic of this traditional art form. Sunanda has exhibited her works at various art galleries, museums (MFA, PEM, Worcester Art, Fitchburg Art, etc), and community and educational places in NE. She has also conducted interactive workshops, talks, demos, artist-in-residency, juried shows, etc., to promote and preserve the art of Mithila painting.
