2024 Artist in Residence

Sunanda Sahay is a well-known Indian artist specializing in Mithila painting, popularly known as Madhubani painting, a 2500-year-old traditional art form of Bihar, India. She is known for her intricate designs and vibrant colors, characteristic of this traditional art form. Sunanda has exhibited her works at various art galleries, museums (MFA, PEM, Worcester Art, Fitchburg Art, etc), and community and educational places in NE. She has also conducted interactive workshops, talks, demos, artist-in-residency, juried shows, etc., to promote and preserve the art of Mithila painting. Sunanda plans to offer small demos and interactive workshops at various venues in Natick
through the Artist in Natick residency.


Workshops and Opportunities to Create with Sunanda:

April 2: 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, at the Natick Community Senior Center
April 20: 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, at the Morse Institute Library

June: Natick Nights, June 6th from 5-8:00 pm, Morse Institute Library.

August 24: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Join Sunanda in a collaborative art project at the Multicultural Day Celebration.
