Art historian Mallory Mortillaro will entertain us with stories of several important and valuable works of art that have been rediscovered in unexpected places.
Who doesn’t love learning about a priceless painting found in an attic? Or a sculpture sitting for decades in a public garden, only to be found out as an Italian treasure? Mallory will provide a brief background of each piece and its artist, as well as how the piece got lost and then found.
This program is sponsored by the Bacon Free Library. It will be held over Zoom.
