Every year, the District hosts a variety of events, bringing the community and members together, to celebrate the arts and culture while building a deeper connection within the community.
The art exhibit entitled Native American Reflections: We Are Still Here will be on display at the Bacon Free Library from June 4th-26th. Artists include members of the Natick Nipmuc tribe, Abenaki Nation, Algonquin, Inuk and Wampanoag tribe. Paintings, poetry, baskets and other works of art will be on display throughout the month.
On June 8th the Native American artists will gather on the grounds of the BFL to share the stories that have inspired their artwork.
