Bluebird Improv

July 30@8:00 pm - July 31@8:00 pm
$56

Rachel Dratch (SNL) heads a stellar improv cast.

Bluebird Improv is a collective of some of the best improvisers on the planet.

The show is inspired by a short conversation with audience members. What follows is an evening of never before (and never again) scenes and characters that cascade into a hilarious and original freewheeling show.

Scheduled to perform:

Rachel Dratch grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. After graduating from Dartmouth College with a degree in Drama and Psychology, she moved to Chicago, where she studied with Del Close at Improvolympic. Rachel went on to tour with the Second City Touring Company and eventually advanced to the Second City Mainstage, where she appeared in four revues: “Pinata Full of Bees”, “Citizen Gates”, “Paradigm Lost”, and “Promisekeepers Losers Weepers”. In the fall of 1999, Rachel joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, where she performed for seven years. Her memorable characters include Boston teen Denise, the Lovers professors with Will Ferrell, junior high school student Sheldon, and Debbie Downer.

Matt Walsh is a founding member of the Upright Citizens Brigade improv comedy troupe along with Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, and Ian Roberts. He is perhaps best known for starring in HBO’s Emmy-lauded comedy series Veep as Mike McLintock, the sharp-witted, deadpan Director of Communications to the first female U.S. Vice President, Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Other credits include The Hangover, Old School, Due Date, Step Brothers, Elf, Cyrus and Role Models. Other TV shows created and/or written by Walsh include Comedy Central’s Dog Bites Man, Daisy Does America, and Human Giant.

Brad Morris is a writer/actor/improviser. He wrote for three seasons on Cougar Town, he’s an alumnus of The Second City Mainstage, and a member of the legendary iO Harold team, The Reckoning. A founding member of comedy groups Stubs, and Uncle’s Brother, Brad also makes comedy videos with his friends.

Joe Canale is a writer, actor, host, public speaker, podcast producer/talent, voiceover talent, and content creator. He performed four reviews on the Second City Chicago Mainstage. He has also written and performed shows at the Annoyance Theatre and all of the IO theatres, not to mention Boom Chicago Theatre in Amsterdam NL.
