Boston Marathon Themed Storytime with Kate Duncan

April 18@11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
A graphic with a cream colored background and blue and red checked border. Inside the border is a photograph of a middle-aged white woman and three white children, all in athletic clothes on a street with many other people behind them, the cover of a book with a blue background and a blonde white girl running, and many words in red and black that are all within the body of the text. In the upper right hand corner in the border is the logo for Ten Trees, which is a colorful drawing of trees.

Join us for a Boston Marathon themed storytime with Kate Duncan, who is running the marathon to raise funds for the Natick Center Cultural District. Attendance is free, but all proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Kate’s fundraiser.

Kate will be reading, “Girl Running,” by Annette Bay Pimentel. The inspiring story of the first female to run the Boston Marathon.

On her reason for running the marathon, Kate shared, “I grew up in Natick and truly love this town. I’ve always tried to use my passion for running as a way to support and give back to our community. As a mom of three, I see every day how much my children benefit from the art installations, cultural events, and town-supported programs that make Natick so special. That’s why supporting the Cultural District matters so much to me—it brings our town closer together and makes Natick an incredible place to grow up. Your donations will directly support the Cultural District’s mission to help our vibrant community thrive. I’m truly grateful for your support as I take on this challenge. Your generosity will create lasting opportunities for our residents to learn and grow in the heart of our community!”
